Natural Remedies For Stomach Ulcers
Natural Remedies For Stomach Ulcers
Stomach ulcers and stomach conditions seem to be on rise. As an iridologist, about 75% of the people I see have some form of stomach problem.
A lot of these issues can be due to stress affecting our digestive systems but a poor diet also plays a huge role.
Natural Remedies to Soothe And Heal Your Stomach
Since this is such a widespread problem, I wanted to share some of the best natural remedies for stomach problems that I’ve come across, particularly for low stomach acid and stomach ulcers.
Raw cabbage
Cabbage is a great remedy for stomach issues. You can either enjoy it fermented as sauerkraut (which adds great flora to the digestion as well) or try juicing it.
I recommend juicing carrots with the cabbage (as it makes it taste better) and drinking half a cup of fresh cabbage juice before each meal and at bed time. If you keep this up you could potentially heal a stomach ulcer within a few weeks.
Bananas
Oh I love bananas! They are full of antibacterial substances that inhibit the growth of ulcer causing bacteria called H.pylori. Studies show that eating bananas produces a thicker stomach wall and increases mucus production in the stomach (which helps build a barrier between digestive acids and the lining of the stomach). Eat at least 3 a day to gain the benefits.
Cayenne Pepper And Raw Honey
Cayenne pepper is very healing for ulcers and can even act as a little pain relief. Now it’s pretty strong to start with, so maybe just try 1/8 a teaspoon in a glass of water and add lemon juice and raw honey to taste. Mix this up and enjoy three times a day (generally after food if at a main meal). After a while you can try increasing the amount to 1/4 teaspoon.
Raw honey itself has amazing medicinal properties and will also help to reduce inflammation of the lining of the stomach.
Colloidal silver
Colloidal silver is a wonderful natural medicine. I’m so lucky here in Bali it’s pretty easy to find and is reasonably priced too. You can usually find it in good health food shops or you can buy generators to easily make your own! It’s great to help heal damaged stomach tissue and will also help in killing off H. pylori bacteria.
A few other good ulcer remedies are: garlic, raw goats’ milk, barley water, aloe juice, propolis capsules, licorice root or marshmallow root.
Of course, fasting is the ultimate healer. By allowing your stomach to rest you’ll get amazing benefits in a short space of time. If you would like more information about fasting, sign up for the Free Resources on my website.
Also consider practising regular intermittent fasting to give your stomach a break and time to heal and repair between meals.
