Healing Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Through Natural Means

Heal Your Bowels and Body

When treating Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD)—including Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis—doctors often prescribe a cure that actually helped cause the condition in the first place. That’s right. People suffering from these inflammatory diseases are told to quit eating fibre because it’s irritating to the digestive tract.

Well, OK. You will reduce inflammation in the short term because aggravating material isn’t moving through your bowels. But in the long run, you’ll move into a worse state of disease because you’re eating mostly dead animals and processed foods. Instead, I suggest you stop eating at all for a while: fast and cleanse.

Cases in Point

I’ve personally worked with people who healed themselves of IBD when their doctors couldn’t. "Trina” nearly died of an autoimmune disease called Crohn’s, but she is now symptom free after taking a self-care program (including fasting) and adopting a whole foods lifestyle (fibre foods). Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, "Debbie” underwent a supervised four-week water fast. Then she adopted an 80 percent whole foods diet (lots of fibre), and the disease went into remission. When the condition reappeared under emotional stress, she took care of it with a juice fast. "Simon” fasted, used a colon cleanse (fibre), and ate pulse (seven types of fibre) to kick the Crohn’s disease that he was told he would have for life.

My Point

Whatever condition you have—irritable bowel, chronic fatigue, brain tumour, thyroid disease, reproductive issues—if you give your body a break through fasting, it heals! (The digestive system in particular has a mucosal lining that renews itself every 48 hours, so it can start to heal quickly.) I’ve heard people say that fasting doesn’t heal—the body heals itself. Well, of course, but you have to give the body time and space to fully regenerate. You don’t have to take this pill, that supplement, or some kind of drug—forget all that.

Fasting has been practiced for thousands of years to prevent disease and promote healing. So find an environment conducive to rest and relaxation, and drink some fresh organic juices for 20 to 30 days. Or just drink water—only for 7 to 10 days if you’re fasting unsupervised. Follow the protocols I’ve put in place for skin cleaning, enemas, breathing exercises, and body-balancing regimens. It’s all free on my website.

Finally, avoid eating processed breads and grains that have been treated with pesticides. These contain chemicals and heavy metals that I believe accumulate in the digestive system and cause inflammatory bowel disease.
