What kinds of toxins are you putting into your mouth? Things like highly processed foods, artificial colours, artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, genetically modified foods… all these lifeless foods and drinks are going to lead to a toxic state in the body. So if you really want to eliminate cellulite quickly, it’s a matter of alkalising the body.
When your body is acidic, it tries to buffer that acid in many different ways, one being cellulite. So if you start to become an alkaline… guess what? Those fat cells will shrink back to their normal size. You will lose a lot of excess fat that was just there simply to buffer your acidic state.
The best way to alkalise is to drink a lot of fresh green juices made from vegetables such as kale, spinach, cucumber and celery, and maybe add a little apple for sweetness.
Also focus on eating a lot of fresh fruits. Maybe start your day with fresh fruit and have a big salad for lunch. Try some green juice also, as this is going to make you feel good, increase your energy and reduce cellulite!
Hydration is also really important to get everything in the body moving and allow the toxins to be flushed out. Plus if you’re properly hydrated it’s easier to be alkaline. As a guide, you should be drinking 1 litre of water per 22 kgs of body weight every day.
A great way to start your day and set yourself up to be alkaline is by having lemon in your water. Lemons are super alkalising! Add half a cup to a cup of lemon juice to a litre of water first thing. That will start to alkalise your body, give you energy and create a detox effect to help melt that cellulite away.
If you want to check if your body is alkaline or not, you can buy some pH Strips to test your urine. It might sound weird but just pee on the pH strip.
If you’re below a 7 that means you’re acidic – alarm bells ringing! There’s the reason why there’s cellulite.
As soon as you’re 7.2 to 7.5/7.6 then you’re doing great! Yay!
A supplemental way to alkalise your body is with bicarb soda or Himalayan salt. Both are super high in minerals which help alkalise the body as well as regulate hydration. About 1 teaspoon a day of either of these in your water is a good measure to take.
